God the perfecter of our lives

Salvation or God’s call upon your life is not meant to take away your dreams and inspirations, and turn you into a zombie without drive or render you inefficient in the world or the economy at large. But His call in our lives is to perfect us and our dreams, Jeremiah 1 verse 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations”.

Before you were born, God already had a plan and purpose for you. It seems like prophet Jeremiah understood today's topic better because in the book of Jeremiah 29 verse 11: For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

He wants to give you a future and hope, there are several scriptures which I love so much, maybe I love them because I found them to be true in my life. The first scripture is the strong spirit of a man will sustain his infirmities, the second one states when you pray in tongues you edify yourself and the last one says build yourself up in your most holy faith by praying in the Spirit, With the help of this scriptures, Jeremiah 1 verse 5 and Jeremiah 29 verse 11 became real to me.

We are born into a world of sin, where the dreams you have can be destroyed before you can start to build them. Joseph was sold to slavery by his blood brothers because of his dreams. Most children grow up believing they won’t amount to anything because the people they trusted told them they are stupid and won't amount to anything in life.  

Sometimes it’s not even outward sources that fight us, but you find that you don’t even know what you're good at. Others are good at many things they don’t even know where to start, or you don’t know what you want to do with your life. You go through life guessing and mimicking other people in the hope to find yourself. If you are discouraged and tired of mimicking other people, then use my favorite scriptures and start praying in the Holy Ghost to build up your spirit, trust me once your spirit is strong it will sustain your infirmities and then the true journey begins. The bible also states that when you speak in tongues you’re not speaking to man but speaking to God. Who is better than your creator who promised you a future to lead you to your future.

The book of Ephesians 5 verse 15 and 16 cautions us, See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. We don’t have time to be mimicking other people, you are unique and precious in the eyes of God and he has a purpose for you. I have Jalapenos and Serranos chili plants in my garden, and planning to plant Habaneros this spring. They are all chilies but they all offer different flavors, and the same applies to us. We are all human beings; doctors, nurses teachers, preachers, accountants, artists, etc. but we offer different flavors in our respective ministries or offices.

Yes, we already have X and Y in the world, like I already have Jalapenos and Serranos but both chilies are not as hot as Habanero, so I need Habanero in my garden and the world needs you and your distinctive gift. Your creator who understands you better is waiting He says draw near to me and I will draw near to you. Redeem the time, draw near to your creator in prayer and He will perfect you and your dreams, so you can bring your own flavor to the world.

Have you ever eaten a meal and felt like something is missing, a little salt, pepper, or chili to perfect the meal? Please don't be that missing ingredient to perfect the world, draw near to God to find yourself and allow him to perfect you.
